Deputy PM Dung affirmed that Viet Nam and Russia boasted for numerous fields of cooperation, including oil and gas exploitation. Over the past time, the two Governments have always created favorable ways for Zarubezhneft and the Viet Nam Oil and Gas Group to operate effectively and contribute to respective socio-economic development.

The host leader hailed Zarubezhneft for its aspiration to strengthen operation in Viet Nam and acknowledged the company’s suggestions on tax.

He also recommended further cooperation in energy especially oil and gas exploitation, hoping that Zarubezhneft would expand activities in Viet Nam’s continental shelf.

In return, CEO Kudryashov Sergey Ivanovich took the occasion to thank the Vietnamese Government for supporting the company; briefed its operation in Viet Nam in 2016; and prospects, missions in 2017.

According to the guest leader, 2016 was a difficult year for the oil and gas sector in which petrol prices dropped to a record low in history. However,  Vietsopetro and Rusvietpetro still enjoyed high revenues by cutting costs in maximum.

He was also optimistic at future cooperation potentials between the two sides./.
