DPM Minh meets foreign diplomats

On the occasion, Deputy PM, FM Minh and Ms. Marina inked an agreement on double taxation avoidance, paving the way for the signing of other agreements on economy, trade, agriculture, culture, science, education.
Ms. Marina affirmed that her country would work closely with Viet Nam to implement the Viet Nam-EU Framework Agreement on Comprehensive Partnership and Cooperation signed in 2012 and the Viet Nam-EU Free Trade Agreement.
The Estonian FM voiced her support for the positions of Viet Nam and ASEAN on peaceful resolution of disputes in the East Sea on the basis of international law, especially the 1982 U Convention on the Law of the Sea and the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea as well as on early conclusion of a Code of Conduct in the East Sea.

He suggested that both sides should beef up the exchange of delegations, especially high-level ones to further enhance mutual understanding and trust and create impetus for the bilateral ties, especially in such fields like trade and investment.
The two sides agreed to convene a meeting of the Joint Committee next year to work out concrete measures to strengthen the relations.
Mr. Aurescu said the two countries will consider signing a framework agreement on education cooperation within the next three years.
Deputy PM, FM Minh urged Romania to recognize Viet Nam’s market economy status soon and play a role in accelerating the EU’s ratification of the Viet Nam-EU Free Trade Agreement.
The two diplomats also exchanged views on regional and international issues of common concern, including the peaceful settlement of maritime disputes./.
