DPM meets WEF President
VGP – Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh on January 21 held a working session with President of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Borge Brende and attended the Announcement Ceremony of finalizing the Viet Nam-WEF cooperation agreement within the framework of the WEF.

The Agreement has made contributions to enhancing the bilateral relationship more practically and effectively, said Binh. He highly appraised the meaning of launching the Agreement, supposing that the cooperation agreement with Viet Nam will become a model for the WEF to consider expanding cooperation with other nations in ASEAN.

The Viet Nam-WEF cooperation agreement focuses on supporting Viet Nam to effectively enforce free trade agreements (FTAs), accelerate administrative reforms, strengthen competitiveness, and develop information technology infrastructure and human resources.
The same day, the Vietnamese Deputy PM met Head of the Regional Agenda, Asia-Pacific of the WEF Justin Wood and Vice President for Global Public Policy, Amazon Web Services Michael Punke.
