Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Van Thang leads National Council for Sustainable Development
VGP – Prime Minister Le Minh Hung has assigned Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Van Thang as Chairman of the National Council for Sustainable Development.

The Minister of Finance shall serve as Vice Chairman of the National Council for Sustainable Development.
Members of the Council include leaders from the Government Office, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Ethnic and Religious Affairs, the Government Inspectorate, and the State Bank of Viet Nam.
The Council shall be responsible for assisting the Prime Minister in directing and handling major inter-sectoral issues related to sustainable development in Viet Nam; formulating and organizing the implementation of strategies, mechanisms, and policies on sustainable development nationwide./.
