Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung to visit Laos

VGP - Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung will pay an official visit to Laos from July 9-11, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced Monday.

The visit will be made at the invitation of Lao Deputy Prime Minister Saleumxay Kommasith.

Viet Nam and Laos established diplomatic relations in 1962, and the two countries have since maintained the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation through reciprocal visit exchanges, helping to increase their political trust and outline future cooperation orientations.

In 2024, the two-way trade turnover surpassed the US$2.2 billion mark, up 33.9 percent compared to the previous year.

Viet Nam is the third largest foreign investor in Laos, with 241 valid projects totaling approximately US$5.5 billion./.
