The Deputy Prime Minister proposed that both sides further enhance delegation exchanges, especially high-level visits, to further elevate the bilateral ties to new heights.

For his part, Speaker Lindsay Hoyle expressed admiration for Viet Nam's history of national defense as well as the country's strong development in recent years.

He noted that both countries have significant potential to expand cooperation in various fields, including trade and investment, science and technology, education and training, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, food processing, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.

Lindsay Hoyle affirmed that the UK House of Commons, and he personally, fully support and are willing to assist the two governments in deepening and strengthening bilateral relations.

The Speaker also suggested that the two sides collaborate on security and crime prevention, including combating illegal migration.

On this occasion, the Deputy Prime Minister and the Speaker of the House of Commons also discussed various regional and international issues of mutual concern.

Both sides shared the view that disputes should be resolved peacefully in accordance with international law while promoting peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh took the occasion to convey an invitation from Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man to Speaker Lindsay Hoyle to visit Viet Nam, expressing his belief that such a visit would inject new momentum to bilateral relations.

Speaker Lindsay Hoyle gladly accepted the invitation and expressed his eagerness to visit Viet Nam soon to experience its natural beauty, culture, and dynamic development.
