Han welcomed Mai to China to attend the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) and China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (CABIS), congratulating Viet Nam on successful organization of the grand ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2) and its recent socio-economic development achievements.

Han expressed his belief that Viet Nam will successfully organize the 14th National Party Congress, opening up a new era of the nation's development.

He took the occasion to convey greetings from General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping and other senior Chinese leaders to the leaders of the Party and State of Viet Nam.

Mai, for his side, conveyed greetings and best regards from General Secretary To Lam and other top Vietnamese leaders to General Secretary and President Xi Jinping and other leaders of China, congratulating on the great achievements that China has obtained over the past 76 years of national construction and development, especially after the introduction of the reform and opening up policy in 1978.

Mai expressed his belief that the 22nd CAEXPO and CABIS will be a success, contributing to advancing substantive and comprehensive cooperation between ASEAN and China.

Both sides spoke highly of the growth momentum and positive outcomes of the relations between the two Parties and two countries over the recent past, notably, both sides have maintained regular exchanges, strongly promoted connectivity of the two economies, local-to-local and people-to-people exchanges.

In a sincere and trusted atmosphere, both sides agreed to instruct ministries, agencies and localities to seriously implement the common perceptions reached by the two countries' senior leaders and to strengthen practical cooperation across all fields.

Mai reassured Viet Nam's consistent policy of giving top priority to advancing the relations with China. He suggested both sides further consolidate their good political ties, maintain regular high-level exchanges and contacts; enhance cooperation and exchanges across the Party, National Assembly, Fatherland Front channels; and promote the role of the major dialogue mechanisms, particularly the Steering Committee for Bilateral Cooperation and the "3+3" strategic dialouge.

He called on the two sides to accelerate bilateral trade cooperation in a healthy and sustainable manner while strengthening cooperation in digital economy, green economy, circular economy, and energy transition.

Viet Nam welcomes and stands ready to create favorable conditions for Chinese investors to carry out large-scale, high-quality and high-tech projects, said the Deputy Prime Minister.

The two sides agreed to continue support for multilateralism and close coordination at international and regional forums, making positive contributions to peace, cooperation and development around the globe./.
