Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc meets Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez
VGP – Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc met with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez ahead of the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4) in Sevilla on June 30.
Ho conveyed the greetings from Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to Sanchez and expressed his belief that Spain will successfully host the FFD4, contributing to shaping financial cooperation mechanisms and priorities and accelerating the implementation of United Nations sustainable development goals (SDGs).
Sanchez welcomed the Vietnamese Government's delegation to the FFD4, affirming that his country attaches importance and gives high priorities to advancing cooperation with Viet Nam – one of Spain's priority partners in Southeast Asia. He recalled the outcomes of his meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on the sidelines of the 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference in France last June.
Both sides agreed to direct their ministries and agencies to promptly realize the agreements reached by senior leaders of the two countries.
Ho took the occasion to reiterate Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's invitation to Prime Minister Sanchez and senior leaders of Spain to attend the signing ceremony of the United Nations Convention against Cybersecurity scheduled to take place in Ha Noi in October this year.

The same day, Deputy Prime Minister Ho hosted a reception for Finland's Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Ville Tavio, during which the former affirmed Viet Nam always attaches importance to strengthening the traditional friendship and multi-faceted cooperation with Finland.
Ho expressed sincere thanks to the Government and people of Finland for their valuable support for Viet Nam's course of socio-economic development and international integration.
Tavio, for his part, spoke highly of Viet Nam's socio-economic development achievements, affirming Viet Nam is a key partner of Finland in the Southeast Asian region.
Finland expects to bolster cooperation with Viet Nam in such fields like water management, communication, shipbuilding and stands ready to assist Viet Nam in participating in EU-led projects and programs on energy transition.
On the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Ho visited Airbus factory in Sevilla./.
