The program focuses on three discussions, including prospects and notable developments of the world economy, Asian economy, and assessment of major transformation trends and impacts on Viet Nam's economy; promotion of new growth drivers in Viet Nam, especially innovation, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and newly-emerging technologies; and solutions to overcome the middle-income trap and transform the growth model.
First introduced in 2008 VELP has become one of the prestigious dialogues and policy consultation programs to increase trust, and open practical cooperation opportunities between the two nations, stressed Deputy Prime Minister Le.
Viet Nam expects to continue working closely with the U.S. to realize the comprehensive strategic partnership for peace, cooperation and sustainable development between the two countries in all fields, especially education and training, he underlined.
The Southeast Asian nation always determines that external forces play an important and groundbreaking role, including policy advice, management experience and human resource training, added the Vietnamese leader.
He expressed his hope that the program will propose strategic issues, shape the vision and give specific and practical recommendations for Viet Nam./.
