Deputy PM Tran Luu Quang meets Israeli President
VGP - Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang paid a courtesy visit to Israeli President Isaac Herzog in Jerusalem, Israel, on July 25, within the framework of his three-day official visit to Israel.
Tran expressed his delight on his official visit to Israel on the occasion of the 30th founding anniversary of diplomatic ties.
Viet Nam always attaches importance to consolidating and developing the friendship and cooperation relations with Israel, he reiterated, expressing his satisfaction on active development in the bilateral relationship.
To further enhance the multi-faceted relations between the two nations, he proposed increasing high-level delegation exchanges.
Viet Nam encourages and creates favorable conditions for Israeli enterprises to bolster collaboration with Vietnamese partners in fields of science-technology, innovation, start-up and labor, noted Tran.
Isaac Herzog, for his part, spoke highly of the role and status of Viet Nam as well as the nation's outstanding achievements in its socio-economic development, asserting that Israel treasures the friendship and cooperation ties with Viet Nam.
He welcomed the historic visit of the Vietnamese Deputy PM, adding that the visit will pave the way for boosting the multi-faceted relations between the two countries.
Both sides vowed to launch some specific measures to improve the effectiveness of the bilateral relations, including the active implementation of the Viet Nam-Israel Free Trade Agreement, scheduled for signing on the occasion of the visit.
They pledged to raise the two-way trade value, step up cooperation in investment and tourism, soon open a direct air route and make it easier to grant visas for their peoples to promote people-to-people exchanges and economic cooperation./.
