He said the Finnish Government wants to establish new partnerships between enterprises and people of the two nations, and is interested in developing cooperative ties in the fields of information technology, smart urban development, energy, clean technology, education, and startup ecosystem.
In turn, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam spoke highly of the potential for Viet Nam-Finland cooperation in green economic development, adoption of clean technology in water and waste treatment, and development of renewable energy such as wind and solar power, and biomass.

The two sides need to increase the exchange of visits by economic and trade delegations to enhance mutual understanding, seek business opportunities, build start-up and innovation centres, promote collaboration in digital economy and e-commerce, he said, adding that Vietnamese and Finnish firms should prepare to fully tap the EU-Viet Nam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) which is to be adopted in the coming time.
