Bui welcomed the Cuban diplomat's visit to Viet Nam which took place on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of diplomatic ties (December 2, 1960).

He expressed his delight on the fruitful development in the bilateral ties across Party, state, and people-to-people diplomacy channels.

The Party and State of Viet Nam attach importance to the special Viet Nam-Cuba relationship, as Cuba was the first country in the Western Hemisphere to establish diplomatic relations with Viet Nam, noted the Vietnamese official.

Bui expressed his belief that the Party, State, and people of Cuba will overcome all difficulties and challenges, continue firmly on the path of safeguarding peace and national development, and further enhance Cuba's role and reputation on the international stage.

Parrilla, for his part, affirmed Cuba's deep appreciation for the solidarity and valuable support that the Vietnamese Party, State, and people have extended to Cuba over the years.

Cuba considers Viet Nam a successful model and wishes to share experiences with Viet Nam in various fields, said the top Cuban diplomat.

Both sides vowed to work closely together and implement various measures to further strengthen and develop bilateral ties, through enhancing all-level delegation exchanges and effective implementation of cooperation agreements between the two Parties and States, especially the high-level agreements reached during the state visit to Cuba by General Secretary To Lam in September last year.

Both sides also emphasized the need to step up experience-sharing and cooperation across all fields, particularly trade, agriculture, energy, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals.

The two sides pledged to join hands in organizing activities to mark the Viet Nam-Cuba Friendship Year 2025 and te 65th anniversary of their diplomatic relations.

Both sides vowed to foster collaboration and mutual support at international organizations and multilateral forums, especially the United Nations, contributing to peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and worldwide.

The same day, the Cuban diplomat paid a courtesy visit to General Secretary To Lam and President Luong Cuong./.
