Deputy PM Phạm Gia Khiêm was pleased to witness recent developments in the relationship between the two Governments, legislative bodies and peoples. "With their traditional friendship, Vietnam and Czech Republic should promote the exchange of high-level delegations, facilitating the long-term cooperation of mutual benefit", emphasized the Deputy PM.

Mr. Vojtech Filip revealed that the Czech Government expects not only to cement cooperation with the Vietnamese Government and National Assembly but also increase its investment in various localities in Vietnam, especially such disadvantaged provinces as Điện Biên.

The Czech side also suggested to expand cooperation to the fields of aviation, electricity, healthcare, and labor force training. In the near future, a direct air route between Hanoi and Prague can be reopened. Deputy Chairman Vojtech Filip affirmed that many Czech businesses are now interested in the Vietnamese market. One of the Czech Republic’s strategies is to support the Vietnamese community residing and working in Czech, the guest said, adding that this helps contribute significantly to Czech’s economic growth. As a big importer from Vietnam, Czech wants to boost investment activities in Vietnam to be able to export its products to this potential Southeast Asian market.

Deputy PM Phạm Gia Khiêm highly appreciated the ideas of Deputy Chairman Vojtech Filip. He expressed his hope that the Vietnam-Czech relationship will be further developed and deepened.
