Currently, made-in-Viet Nam goods have seized bigger domestic market share, with such products as food, agricultural products, consumption items, construction materials, and industrial commodities.

Such events as made-in-Viet Nam goods Fair, and Program “Bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas” have generated positive effects on society.

Regarding the Program “Bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas”, the organization of 100 fairs in 28 provinces and cities with the attendance of 200 enterprises has attracted nearly 1.4 million visitors and consumers.

According to the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), consumers’ awareness of made-in-Viet Nam goods has changed clearly.

Markets, which were formerly overwhelmed by foreign products, now see the flooding of locally-made products. Ms. Bui Hanh Thu, Saigon Co.op Deputy General Director said currently, 90% of over 1,000 items at Saigon Co.op have been produced in Viet Nam.

Viet Nam is the potential retail market which generates some US$55 billion in revenue a year./.
