Cuba declares official mourning for former President Tran Duc Luong
VGP - The President of the Republic of Cuba has decided to decree Official Mourning from 6:00 a.m. on May 24 until 12:00 p.m. on May 25, 2025, reported Granma - the official voice of the Communist Party of Cuba Central Committee.

Our people, with deep sorrow, have learned of the death of the former president of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, comrade Tran Duc Luong, Granma wrote.
In his outstanding career as a leader, comrade Luong made significant contributions to the Vietnamese renewal and to the special ties of brotherhood and mutual trust between our peoples, parties and governments.
For this reason, the President of the Republic of Cuba decided to decree Official Mourning, from six o'clock in the morning of May 24, until 12 noon on May 25, 2025.
During the period of the Official Mourning, the Lone Star flag will be flown at half-mast in public buildings and military institutions.
