CPV opens 14th National Congress
VGP - The 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) opens in Ha Noi on January 19.
The 14th National Party Congress draws the participation of 1,586 delegates representing 5.6 million Party members nationwide.

Themed "Solidarity-Democracy-Discipline-Breakthrough-Development", the Congress is set to discuss and approve the Political Report of the 13th CPV Central Committee.
The delegates will also discuss a report summarising theoretical and practical issues regarding 40 years of socialist-oriented Doi moi (Renewal) in Viet Nam; a report reviewing 15 years of implementing the Party Charter (2011–2025) with proposed amendments; and a report on the performance of the 13th CPV Central Committee./.
