Converting Đắk Lắk into a socio-economic hub in Central Highlands, says PM

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng hailed the determination of local leaders and people to attain a relatively high GDP rate of 11.4% and income per capita of VND 13.9 million in 2009. And for the first time, the province collected over VND 2,000 billion for the State budget.
The Government chief maintained that located in a favorable transport area which connects provinces in the Central Highlands and the Central coast and endowed with rich natural resources and cultural values, there are abundant opportunities for Đắk Lắk to tap for its socio-economic development.
PM Dũng recommended the local leaders and people join hands to fulfill the five-year plan (2006-2010); upgrade infrastructure; ensure social welfare; and promote healthcare, education, vocational training, culture and commercial activities in order to convert the province into a socio-economic hub.
