Covering a total area of 90 hectares, this will be among the top 10 largest exhibition centers in the world and is expected to become a "new wonder" of the capital city.

The project is located at Ha Noi's northeast gateway, the center of key traffic arteries with roads, airports, and metros to provinces across the country.

The indoor exhibition center will be constructed with the symbol of the sacred Kim Quy (Golden Turtle) deity, surrounded by four outdoor exhibition parks covering 20.6 hectares, suitable for large-scale outdoor events.

Once completed, the National Exhibition and Convention Center is expected to rank second globally and lead Asia in outdoor exhibition space. The southeast section of the center will feature commercial services, a hotel complex expected to be managed by Marriott, and high-rise office buildings designed to 5-star standards, creating a prestigious image for the entire complex.

Chairman of the Ha Noi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh

Addressing the groundbreaking ceremony, Chairman of the Ha Noi Municipal People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh said the city would invest in transportation infrastructure, including Tu Lien Bridge, the northern section of Ring Road 3, and metro lines to connect the exhibition center with other areas of Ha Noi.

He urged Vingroup, one of Viet Nam's leading conglomerates, the investor of the project to comply with technical procedures, ensure regulations on labor safety, transport safety and environmental sanitation.

The Chairman also pledged that the city would support the investor in implementing the project, with the goal of putting it into operation as soon as possible.

The National Exhibition and Convention Center, considered a national key project in the commercial services sector, will replace the old exhibition center in Giang Vo street in the downtown./.
