MEIKO starts construction of 6th factory in Viet Nam
VGP – Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung on Friday attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the electronic circuit manufacturing factory in the northern province of Phu Tho.

This is the 6th factory of Japan's Meiko company in Viet Nam, reflecting the company's strong trust in Viet Nam's business environment and development prospect.
This factory, with total investment capital of US$500 million, is expected to generate around USE$530 million in annual revenue and create about 2,000 jobs for local residents.
Addressing the ground-breaking ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung said Viet Nam targets to become a high middle-income country by 2030, and high-income, developed country by 2045.
To realize the above goals, the Politburo issued Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW identifying science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation as important breakthroughs of top importance and key driving forces for national development in the new era.
On this journey, Viet Nam considers Japan as a top partner in the fields of science, technology, innovation, manufacturing, electronics, semiconductors, and high-quality development, affirmed the Deputy Prime Minister.
The latest factory stands as a vivid example for the effective and substantive development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Viet Nam and Japan, he noted.
Ho praised Meiko for continued investment expansion in Viet Nam, calling on authorities in Phu Tho province to create the most favorable conditions for the investor to successfully implement this project./.
