Congratulations on Kishida Fumio on his election as Prime Minister of Japan

VGP – Viet Nam congratulates Kishida Fumio on his election as the 100th Prime Minister of Japan, said Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang.

The Spokesperson made the above statement in response to reporters’ query regarding Japan’s new Prime Minister.

Le expressed her belief that under the leadership of Prime Minister Kishida Fumio, Japan will continue to prosper and Japanese people will be happier.

Viet Nam attaches importance to the friendship and cooperation with Japan and expects to work with Prime Minister Kishida Fumio and Government of Japan to further advance the bilateral extensive strategic partnership to new height, for the sake of the two countries’s people and for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

Viet Nam and Japan established diplomatic ties on September 21, 1973 and elevated the ties to strategic partnership in 2009 and Extensive Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity in Asia in 2014.

Japan is Vietnam’s leading important economic partner, the largest official development assistance (ODA) provider, second biggest investor, third largest tourism partner and fourth largest trade partner./.
