Citizens evacuated from Ukraine not required to have COVID-19 vaccination proof
VGP – Citizens and their relatives repatriated from Ukraine shall not be required to have proof of negative COVID-19 test, COVID-19 vaccination, and recovery from COVID-19, according to the latest regulations of the Ministry of Health.
During the repatriation flights, they shall be required to strictly follow the ministry's 5K message: Khau trang (facemask)- (Khu khuan) disinfection- (Khoang cach) distance- (Khong tu tap) no gathering – (Khai bao y te) health declaration.
Upon arriving in Viet Nam, they have to take COVID-19 test within 24 hours and self-isolate at their places of residence for 10 days. This regulation is not applicable to children under two years of age.
If the tested positive for COVID-19, they should immediately contact the nearest medical stations for timely support.
There are about 7,000 Vietnamese living and working in Ukraine, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
More than 2,500 people have travelled to neighboring countries, including 1,700 in Poland, 290 in Hungary, 600 in Romania, and 40 in Slovakia.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is coordinating with relevant ministries, agencies and airlines to arrange repatriation flights, with the first two scheduled on March 8 and 10 to bring home 553 citizens from Romania and Poland.
