According the overall planning scheme recently approved by the PM for the Chân Mây-Lăng Cô EZ in the central province of Thừa Thiên-Huế, the EZ consists of different urban functional quarters.

The Chân Mây Port is located at the Chân Mây Đông Cape, covering 370 ha. A 120-ha logistics center is situated at the junction of National Highway 1A and the road to the Chân Mây Port. The Chân Mây urban quarter and other major centers (trade, finance, information service, health, education), about 1,545 ha in total, will be built along the rivers of Bu Lu and Thừa Lưu and at the foot of Phước Tượng Mount.

There are also a 4,570-ha area for eco-tourism and high-class apartments.

The non-tariff quarter, industrial and hi-tech parks and urban service quarter will cover 2,040 ha.
