VGP - A ceremony to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925) took place in Ha Noi on Saturday.

The event saw the participation of General Secretary To Lam, former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man.
Addressing the event, the General Secretary said, the 100-year journey of the Vietnamese revolutionary press is a vivid testament to the significant role of the journalists in the struggle for national independence and development process.
With nearly 800 press agencies and tens of thousands of journalists, reporters, and editors, the Vietnamese revolutionary press has constantly innovated and actively applied digital technology, artificial intelligence, and advanced scientific and technological achievements to enhance performance, noted the Party leader.

The press also serves as a key force in promoting the image of Viet Nam and its people to the world, reflecting the country's solidarity and sense of responsibility toward the global development, the Party leader said.
To emphasized that in the context of a rapidly changing world, the revolutionary press consistently upholds its role as a pioneering force in maintaining political stability, strengthening social consensus, and firmly safeguarding national sovereignty.
The Vietnamese revolutionary press has fulfilled and continues to fulfill its noble mission of fostering trust, building consensus, and spreading the aspiration for development, thereby contributing to the realization of the goal of building a strong, prosperous, and happy Viet Nam in the new era, he noted./.
