Central Steering Committee for national target program on drug prevention and control set up
VGP - Prime Minister Le Minh Hung has signed a Decision on the establishment of the Central Steering Committee for the national target program on drug prevention and control till 2030.
The committee is headed by Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra, who will be assisted by Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang as deputy head.
Members of the committee includes Deputy Minister of Public Security Nguyen Van Long; Deputy Minister of National Defense Nguyen Van Gau; Vice Chairman of the Government Office Do Ngoc Huynh; Deputy Minister of Finance Tran Quoc Phuong; Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Lien Huong; Deputy Minister of Justice Nguyen Thanh Ngoc; Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh; Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Phan Tam; Standing Vice President of the Viet Nam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu; Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Truong Thanh Hoai; and Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Vo Van Hung.
The committee is responsible for advising the Prime Minister on strategic directions and policy measures for directing and administering key issues related to the management and implementation of the national target program.
The committee also assists the Prime Minister in directing, managing, and coordinating activities among ministries, central agencies, and local authorities in implementing the program.
It is responsible for overseeing and urging ministries, central agencies, and local governments to review and evaluate the program's implementation results, as well as developing the implementation plan for the 2026–2030 period./.
