Cao Bang Border Gate Economic Zone master plan approved
VGP - Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh has signed a decision approving the master plan for Cao Bang Border Gate Economic Zone towards 2040.
The economic zone located in the northern province of Cao Bang has a total area of over 30,130 hectares.
By 2030, the population in the area is projected to stand at about 73,000-78,000, including 35,000-37,000 urban residents.
The economic zone is divided into four regions. Each region has one key economic border gate which directly connects with China's border gate system.
Region 1: Soc Giang border gate in the western part of the locality covers an area of 4,018 hectares with a population of 8,000-9,000 people by 2040.
Region 2: Tra Linh border gate in the north of the province has a total area of 8,134 hectares with the population of 30,000-32,000 people by 2040.
Region 3: Ly Van border gate in the northeast covers an area of 3,346 hectares with the population of 7,500-8,000 people by 2040.
Region 4: Ta Lung border gate in the east of the province has a total area of 14,632 hectares with the population scale of 51,000-53,000 people by 2040.
