Cambodia's exports to Viet Nam soar 116% in Jan
VGP - Cambodia’s export value to Viet Nam saw a year-on-year increase of 116.6 percent in January this year, reaching US$373 million, official data from the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia (GDCE) showed.
Its main exports to Viet Nam include rice, rubber, cashew nuts, cassava, corn, bananas, mangoes, tobacco and natural resources, according to the GDCE.
Currently, Viet Nam is Cambodia's second largest export market, after the U.S. and ahead of China, Japan, and Thailand.
Trade between Cambodia and Viet Nam has grown steadily, totalling nearly US$6.6 billion in 2023, an increase of more than 7 percent compared to 2022.
Cambodia's exports to Viet Nam last year increased by 37.1 percent to US$2.97 billion, while imports from the ASEAN neighbor were worth US$3.61 billion, a decrease of 8.9 percent./.
