Calamity response plan launched

VGP – The PM has issued a project to realize an overall plan on response to natural disasters and calamity and search and rescue operation by 2020.

Accordingly, by 2020, relevant ministries and agencies will establish a plan in disaster and calamity response and search and rescue operation for fundamental circumstances as well as preparing basic and necessary equipment to deal with natural disasters and calamity.

In 2015-2020, the Ministry of National Defense will cooperate with related agencies to set up aid relief groups as well as search and rescue centres in Co To (Quang Ninh Province), Con Dao (Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province), Tho Chu (Kien Giang Province), Hon Gai (Ca Mau Province) and Song Tu Tay (Khanh Hoa Province).
