A draft resolution of the Government on main tasks and solutions to implement the socio-economic development plan and State budget estimates for 2024 will also be put to table for discussion.

Regarding socio-economic performance, trade in goods between Viet Nam and the rest of the world hit nearly US$588 billion, down 9 percent year-over-year, with exports decreasing by 6 percent and imports dropping by 12 percent compared to the same period last year.

Viet Nam enjoyed a trade surplus of US$24.44 billion as of November 15 this year.

The disbursed volume of foreign direct investment capital rose to a record high of US$20.25 billion in the past five years while total foreign investment inflows neared US$28.85 billion, up 14.8 percent on year.

Viet Nam served over 1.23 million international tourists in November, up 11 percent month-on-month, the record monthly number in 2023. In the first 11 months, the country welcomed 11.2 million foreign arrivals, 3.8 times higher than the figure recorded in the same period last year, and equal to 68.9 percent of the figure in 2019.

Viet Nam's total goods retail sales and consumer service revenues increased by 9.6 percent year on year to over VND5.6 quadrillion (US$230.7 billion)./.
