BVB Legends, Viet Nam all-stars to play friendly match supporting affected children
VGP — A team of former stars of Borussia Dortmund (BVB) are going on a three-day tour of Viet Nam where they will play a friendly match with local legends on September 28 in HCM City.

The September 27-29 tour is a part of the True Love – To The Future campaign, which is run by Next Media, HCM City's Youth Union, Borussia Dortmund and delegates of German Industry and Commerce in Viet Nam (AHK) to support orphans and children affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Julio Cesar, Dede, Marcel Schmelzer, Evanilson, Jorg Heinrich, Jan Koller, David Odonkor, Patrick Owomoyela, Karl-Heinz Riedle, Miroslav Stevic, Roman Weidenfeller, Ibrahim Tanko, Mladen Petric and Mohamed Zidan are among the BVB Legends.
"'Xin chao Viet Nam'," said Suresh Letchmanan, BVB's Managing Director the Asia Pacific to all Vietnamese supporters.

He thanked people for a warm welcome for his team. All players were happy to be in Viet Nam and could not wait to call for support for HCM City's underprivileged children.
"We as BVB are extremely excited to bring our legend players to Viet Nam, a significant market for us as BVB in Asia. The sheer enthusiasm and love for the game are deeply rooted in the Vietnamese culture, and we are proud and honored to bring the black and yellow feeling to our fans and supporters in this country," said Letchmanan.
"We are confident in delivering a one-of-a-kind experience in Viet Nam and being able to use this as a stepping stone for more success stories in the future."

Borussia Dortmund footballers are happy with Vietnamese typical conical hats.
Nhat Nguyen of the Borussia Dortmund fan club Viet Nam welcomed the visit saying: "BVB have a big supporters base in our country and we really look forward to seeing the legends in person and hopefully getting to meet some of them."
The host side, which is managed by former national striker Le Huynh Duc, includes former national team forward Pham Van Quyen and all-time leading scorer and most-capped player Le Cong Vinh.
Other players are current national team captain Do Hung Dung, defender Que Ngoc Hai and midfielder Ngo Hoang Thinh.

Borussia Dortmund players have their training at the Phu Tho Stadium.
They will be accompanied by top stars in the entertainment industry such as singer-musician Hoang Bach, rocker Anh Khoa and musician Nguyen Van Chung. The team also has the presence of YouTuber Can Cris and world freestyle runner-up Do Kim Phuc.
BVB Legends landed in HCM City on September 26 and received a warm welcome from football fans and representatives of the True Love – To The Future campaign upon their arrival in the southern city.

A day later, they visited the city's most famous destinations of Ben Thanh Market, city's Post Office and the Independence Palace. In the afternoon, they had their training at the Phu Tho Stadium.
The tour entails many other activities, including a corporate social responsibility and a visit to a Youth Development Clinic.
The crucial part of the campaign is a friendly match between All Stars Viet Nam BVB Legends at the 15,000 capacity Thong Nhat Stadium on September 28.
