Bui Thi Minh Hoai re-elected as President of VFF Central Committee
VGP - Bui Thi Minh Hoai, a member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee was re-elected on Wednesday as President of the 11th Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front (VFF).

Bui Thi Minh Hoai will serve as President of the 11th Central Committee of Viet Nam Fatherland Front for the tenure 2026 – 2031
Speaking upon the re-election, Bui expressed her sincere thanks to Party, the State, compatriots and soldiers nationwide for their support and trust in her and the Viet Nam Fatherland Front.
She pledged absolute loyalty to the Party, the Fatherland and the People; uphold political steadfastness, moral integrity and a strong sense of responsibility; and promote democracy, collective wisdom, solidarity, innovation and determination in successfully implementing the congress resolution.
She also stressed that the Viet Nam Fatherland Front will continue strengthening the great national unity bloc and further affirming the Front’s role and position in the country’s new revolutionary phase.
The newly-elected President also expressed her hope for continued guidance from the Party Central Committee's Politburo and Secretariat, Party and State leaders, as well as close coordination from ministries, sectors, intellectuals, scientists, overseas Vietnamese and member organizations.
Bui made history as the first woman to serve as President of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front in its 96-year history.
The Viet Nam Fatherland Front is charge of building and strengthening national unity among all classes, ethnicities, and religions; mobilizing the people to implement Party and State policies; supervising and providing social feedback on laws, policies, and the performance of officials and public agencies; encouraging patriotic movements and participation in socio-economic development and organizing elections, particularly overseeing candidacy and voter engagement for the National Assembly and People's Councils.
Bui Thi Minh Hoai was born on January 12, 1965 in Thanh Tan Commune, Thanh Liem District, the northern province of Ha Nam (now Ninh Binh province).
She became an alternate member of the Party Central Committee at the 10th National Party Congress (2006) and a full member at the 11th National Party Congress (2011).
Bui served as the Standing Deputy Head of the Viet Nam Farmers' Association, the Standing Deputy Head of the Party's Central Inspection Commission, and the Head of the Central Commission for Mass Mobilization.
She was elected to the Politburo at the 9th Plenum of the 13th Party Central Committee on May 16, 2024.
On May 17, 2024, she was assigned by the Politburo as Secretary of the Ha Noi Municipal Party Committee.
On November 4, 2025, the Politburo assigned and appointed Bui to join the 13th Party Central Committee's Secretariat, the Executive Committee and Standing Board of the Party Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front and central mass organizations for the 2025–2030 tenure, and to serve as Secretary of the Party Committee. She was later selected through consultation to join the Central Committee, the Presidium and the Standing Board of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and was appointed VFF President.
