Binh Duong’s exports up nearly 10% in Q1
VGP - The southern province of Binh Duong gained US$9.07 billion from exporting goods over the first three months of 2022, a year-on-year increase of 9.8 percent, announced the provincial People's Committee at a press conference on April 1.
During the reviewed period, the locality's import value hit US$5.9 billion, up 0.2 percent.
The index of industrial production rose 7.2 percent in comparison with the same period last year while the service revenues reached VND66,290 billion (or US$2.9 billion), up 9.6 percent.
As of March 15, the locality lured VND 15,800 billion (nearly US$700 million) in domestic investment capital.
As many as 55,267 domestic firms with the total registered capital worth VND 546,000 billion (over US$24 billion) are operating in Binh Duong.
Meanwhile, as of March 18, the province attracted more than US$1.68 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI), raising accumulative FDI capital volume to the locality to US$39.4 billion.
