Binh Duong enjoys trade surplus of over US$1 bln
VGP – The southern province of Binh Duong enjoyed a trade surplus of US$1.091 billion in the first half of the year, according to the provincial Statistics Office.

The exports of wood took the lead with an increase of 15.4%, attaining more than US$1.7 billion, accounting for 12.6%. It was followed by garment with US$904 million, up 11.2% and footwear with US$741 million, up 16.4%.
The province imported US$7.4 billion worth of commodities, up 16.9%.
The import value of the foreign-invested and State sectors saw increases of 16.6% and 18%, reaching US$6 billion and US$1.5 billion, respectively.
