The agreement stipulates that Vietnam will enjoy numerous preferential treatments, including tariff reductions for agricultural, seafood, apparel, and mechanical engineering products.

The RoK is listed among the five largest shrimps importers of Viet Nam after the US, Japan, EU and China.

Viet Nam earned US$317.8 million from exporting shrimps to the RoK in 2014, up 41.3% compared to the previous year.

Viet Nam exceeded China to become the largest provider of shrimps for the RoK in 2014.
