During his meeting with General Secretary To Lam in Minsk on May 12, Turchin stated that To's ongoing visit reflects the trusted political relationship between the two countries and marks a new chapter in the history of bilateral relations, with the elevation of their ties into a Strategic Partnership.

The new partnership framework will open up numerous opportunities for businesses from both countries to invest, expand their markets, and enhance their competitiveness amid the ongoing transformations in the global economy, noted To.

He emphasized Viet Nam's strong commitment to promoting digital transformation, applying science and technology, and fostering innovation, developing a green and circular economy, and implementing strategic infrastructure projects such as expressways and high-speed railways in favor of rapid and sustainable national development.

The leaders asserted that the two nations need to fully leverage their traditional foundation to expand practical and effective cooperation.

They pledged to build an action program to implement the recently upgraded Strategic Partnership, enhance high-level and all-level delegation exchanges, and accelerate economic and trade relations commensurate with the new partnership framework.

The host and the guest underlined the necessity to strengthen industrial cooperation, particularly in automobile and tractor manufacturing, to boost cooperation in science and technology, education and training, culture, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.
