Bac Giang urged to accelerate COVID-19 testing
VGP – Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam has urged the northern province of Bac Giang to accelerate COVID-19 testing process as it is the current biggest COVID-19 hotspot in Viet Nam.

Speaking at an online meeting with the local leaders on Tuesday, Vu, who is head of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, also asked the locality to install cameras at all centralized quarantine sites to strengthen management of these areas.
The locality needs to maintain operations of companies located in industrial parks where precautious measures are strictly observed, the Deputy PM said.

The province identified 6,581 F1 individuals (who came in close contact with confirmed cases) and 30,654 F2 individuals as of late May 17.
Le Anh Duong, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, said Viet Yen district is the high-risk zone as it is home to many industrial parks with around 100,000 workers.
All the workers in the district have tested at least one, Le added.
In a bid to help Bac Giang contain COVID-19 outbreaks at industrial parks, several localities, including Ha Noi and Quang Ninh have sent their experienced health workers there to assist in collecting COVID-19 test samples./.
