This is part of the goals enshrined in the Bac Giang Development Master Plan for 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, recently approved by the Government.

According to the plan, Bac Giang's average economic growth in 2021-2030 is expected to reach 15-16 percent, with industry-construction expanding 17-18 percent per year.

By 2030, the industry-construction sector will account 66-67 percent of the locality's economic structure while the service, agriculture-forestry-aquaculture and taxes on goods and services will make up 24-25 percent, 6-7 percent and 2-3 percent, respectively.

The GRDP per capita is expected to increase to US$9,800 by 2030.

Bac Giang enjoyed annual average GRDP growth rate of 13.9 percent in the 2016 - 2020 period, making it one of the best performers in the country.

Particularly in 2021, its GRDP expanded 7.82 percent compared to the national average rate of 3.78 percent, ranking 10th in the country while the GRDP per capita rose 3.7 percent to US$2,950.

By the end of 2021, the locality is home to over 1,800 operational investment projects, including nearly 500 FDI projects valued at US$6.9 billion.
