Australia expects stronger ties with Viet Nam
VGP - Australian Governor General David Hurley expected that the relations between Viet Nam and Australia will be upgraded to a new height, opening a new chapter for the bilateral ties.
The Australian Governor General made the above remarks during his reception for Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia Pham Hung Tam in Sydney, Australia, on February 28.
Pham came to present his credentials to the Australian Governor General.
The host expressed his hope that Australia and Viet Nam will maintain the current momentum of their relationship to strengthen bilateral cooperation, expand collaboration and exchange in regional and international issues, and promote common interests for peace, stability, cooperation, and prosperity in the region.
He expressed his belief that the Vietnamese Ambassador would make active contributions to strengthening the two countries' cooperation in all spheres of politics, economy, security, defense, education, tourism, and people-to-people links.
For his part, the Ambassador vowed to do his utmost to contribute to promoting good relations between the two countries for the sake of their peoples, and for peace, cooperation, and development in the region./.
