The event, organized by the Ministry of Education and Training and Đà Nẵng Municipal People’s Committee, drew the participation of 150 school students and coaches from eight teams of Việt Nam, China, Hong Kong (China), Macao (China), Malaysia, Iran, Singapore, and Thailand.

Deputy Minister of Education and Training Trần Quang Quý said this continent-scale event would help encourage sports activities at schools and promote friendship and cultural exchanges between students of the participating countries and territories.

The teams are divided into two groups, with Việt Nam, China, Malaysia, and Thailand in group A and the rest in group B.

The champions will be awarded on August 26.
