ASEAN Future Forum 2026: Promoting dialogue for more cohesive and inclusive ASEAN
VGP – The 3rd ASEAN Future Forum (AFF) serves as a platform to promote dialogue for a more cohesive and inclusive ASEAN, according to Vietnamese Ambassador to ASEAN Ton Thi Ngoc Huong.
Themed "Shaping a Shared Future Together: Peace, Prosperity and People-Centered Development," this year's forum is designed to seek new perspectives and specific policy recommendations to realize the ASEAN Vision 2045.
The theme reflects ASEAN's cooperation priorities across all the three pillars of ASEAN Community: Political-security community, economic community, and socio-cultural community.
The forum will feature sessions on ASEAN resilience, conflict prevention, artificial intelligence, energy security, and new development models among others, with the participation of Government officials and academic, business and youth representatives.
As the host, Viet Nam targets to improve the quality of discussions to find out ways for ASEAN to enhance resilience, innovate growth model, harness the opportunities from emerging technologies, and ensure the involvement of Governments, businesses, academia and young generations in shaping the future of ASEAN.
Given the current global landscape, AFF 2026 is expected to contribute to consolidating ASEAN centrality, solidarity and resilience, said the Ambassador.
As the forum of ASEAN and for ASEAN, recommendations from AFF 2026 will be submitted to the ASEAN Coordinating Council, the 59th ASEAN Foreign Ministerial Meeting, and the 49 ASEAN Summit as inputs for ASEAN policy-making process./.
