Pham and his entourage will lead a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to attend the G20 Summit in Brazil from November 16-19.

Frequent engagement in recent G20 Summits reflects the important contributions of Viet Nam to multilateral mechanisms, as well as its capacity and responsibility toward global issues.

Pham’s participation in this year’s summit demonstrates enhanced political relations between Viet Nam and Brazil, helping to boost mutual trust and understanding between the two governments, thus creating favorable conditions for bilateral cooperation in regional and international issues.

His trip to Brazil will help boost bilateral cooperation in a range of areas such as agriculture, science and technology, energy transition, bioenergy, Halal food production, culture, sports, tourism, education, security and defense, and people-to-people exchanges.

The tour takes place on the occasion of the 35th founding anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, thus it is more meaningful as it would contribute to further strengthening the Viet Nam-Brazil comprehensive partnership.

Regarding economic cooperation, Brazil is the top partner of Viet Nam in South America, and a potential market for Vietnamese businesses.

Brazil serves as a bridge for Viet Nam to enter Latin American markets, while Viet Nam is gateway for Brazilian enterprises to penetrate ASEAN and other Asian markets.

Viet Nam hopes that Brazil will expedite negotiations on a free trade agreements with the Southern Common Market (Mecosur)./.
