Algerian Speaker Boughali pledges special incentives for Vietnamese investors

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with Speaker of the National People's Assembly (APN) of Algeria Boughali, on November 20 as part of his official visit to the African nation.
The Prime Minister briefed his host on his meeting with President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his talks with Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb, which resulted in a joint statement on upgrading Viet Nam–Algeria relations to a Strategic Partnership and the signing of several key agreements.
He expressed hope that both sides would soon develop a concrete action plan to implement the new cooperation framework, and called for the Speaker's support in this process.
Regarding parliamentary cooperation, Speaker Boughali thanked the Vietnamese National Assembly for hosting Algerian delegations and friendship parliamentarians. He said Algeria is reforming many laws, including those on e-commerce, and expressed interest in exchanging experience with Viet Nam in this area.
Referring to the two parliamentary cooperation documents signed in 2005, the Speaker proposed reviewing and adjusting them to suit the new development context. He affirmed that the APN stands ready to support cooperation initiatives aimed at strengthening bilateral relations for the benefit of both peoples.
He noted that Viet Nam plans to invest in Algeria in banana and tea cultivation, rice production, and aquaculture, and called for the APN's support, particularly in land and water allocation.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also urged Algeria to continue facilitating stable and efficient operations for the Viet Nam National Industry – Energy Group (Petrovietnam) at the Bir Seba field. Building on this successful symbol of bilateral economic cooperation, he proposed expanding collaboration in oil and gas exploration, petrochemical production and processing, and polymer fiber production./.
