The national caseload includes 20 Omicron cases recorded since December 28.

The same day, the ministry reported 24,461 recoveries, taking the total number of recovered cases to 1,397,157.

The ministry also announced further 190 fatalities, bringing the nation’s COVID-19 death toll to 33,021 or 1.9 percent of the total infections.

The nation has administered 153,596,950 COVID-19 vaccine doses, an increase of 594,568 from Sunday./.
