A deep imprint seen in special solidarity between VN, Laos

VGP – Together with the vigorous development of comprehensive cooperation, support and assistance from Việt Nam for Laos in hosting the 25th SEA Games have symbolized the special solidarity between the two countries.

Arriving Vientiane for the opening ceremony of the 25th SEA Games, Vietnamese PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng paid a courtesy visit to the host Party leader, State President Choummaly Sayasone and had a meeting with his Lao counterpart Bouasone Bouphavanh.

The chief of the Vietnamese Government reiterated Việt Nam’s consistent policy to attach importance and high priority to consolidating and strengthening the special friendship and comprehensive cooperation with Laos.

PM Dũng thanked the Government and people of Laos for donating 1,000 cubic meters of timbers for the victims of Typhoon Ketsana in Central Việt Nam.

He also hoped that the Government of Laos would offer more favorable conditions for Vietnamese investors to expand their business activities for mutual benefits.

Leaders of the Party and Government of Laos highly appreciated Việt Nam’s assistance for the organization of the regional sports event.

They also made good comments on Việt Nam’s investment in Laos, considering it a driving force for economic development here.

They emphasized that Laos will do its utmost to foster and develop the friendship and cooperation between the two countries, Parties, State and peoples.
