The above figures were announced at a meeting held by the Viet Nam Young Entrepreneurs Association that took place in Ha Noi on November 27.
With around 21,000 members in 34 provinces and cities nationwide, the association continues to strengthen its position as one of the largest business organizations in the country.
In the 2022-2025 phase, its members have generated more than US$40 billion in annual revenue, contributed over 10 percent of the national GDP, and provided jobs for more than 5 million workers.
In the 2025-2030 period, the association aims to expand its membership to between 35,000 and 50,000, contributing 15 percent of the national GDP.
Addressing the event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh required young businesses and entrepreneurs to take the lead in innovation, digital transformation, green transition, and application of artificial intelligence, big data and semiconductors in production.
Young businesses are encouraged to take part in developing green-economy and circular-economy models in line with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards to meet the increasingly high demands of major markets, he noted.
The young business community also needs to pioneer in promoting linkage between private enterprises, household businesses, and state-owned and FDI enterprises while leveraging the strengths of each sector to jointly form value chains and innovation clusters, thereby elevating Vietnamese brands, said the Government leader./.
