VOV launches 24/7 English channel

VGP - Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam has approved the Voice of Viet Nam (VOV)’s plan to launch a 24/7 English channel.

The Deputy PM assigned the Ministry of Information and Communications to license the channel based on current regulations.

Currently, the VOV’s Overseas Service VOV5 is broadcasting 12 foreign language programs in English, French, Russian, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, German, Lao, Thai, Cambodian, Indonesian and Vietnamese.

The new channel is scheduled to be aired in the third quarter this year.
