To made the above statement while addressing a grand ceremony held on Saturday to mark the 120th founding anniversary of the Viet Nam National University (VNU), Ha Noi.
The Party and State leader voiced his support for VNU's goal to become among top 100 universities in Asia by 2030 and top 300 universities in the world by 2035.
To translate the above vision, To urged VNU to equip with modern education philosophy, advanced governance, and liberal academic environment.
To also urged VNU to promptly complete the Hoa Lac university urban area in a green, smart, and modern fashion, ensuring seamless integration with the Hoa Lc High-tech Park in a bid to form a leading national ecosystem for education, research, technology, and innovation.
VNU must become a hub connecting knowledge with development, further strengthening linkages between academia, the State, businesses, localities, and society. It should proactively develop major commissioned research programmes, policy advisory initiatives, and innovation projects serving national priorities, while enhancing cooperation with ministries and agencies, Ha Noi and other localities, technology enterprises, research institutes, and international expert networks, he said.
