VB’s evaluation focuses on each product’s ability and accuracy in detecting viruses from various samples: RAP (Reactive and Proactive: ability to handle newly emerging malware and previously unknown malware), Wildlist (wildly spread viruses), Trojans (spywares), Polymorphic (polymorphic viruses), and Worms & Bots.
According to test results, Bách Khoa Network Security Company’s BKAV Pro scored 98.1% in RAP, 100% in Wildlist, 98.8% in Trojans, 100% in Polymorphic, 98.81% in Worms & Bots.
The score of 98.1% in RAP placed BKAV Pro higher than Kaspersky with 94.2%, AVG 94.4%, and Avira with 93.7%.
With outstanding capacity of operating large virus definition files, and the ability to effectively quantify and isolate viruses and malware without affecting the system, BKAV Pro can also thoroughly destroy metamorphic viruses, which overwrite system files, and restore the system.
In recent years, BKAV has taken part in global anti-virus and security activities, such as analyzing and monitoring the Conficker virus, or the vulnerability in the face detection technology of Asus, Lenovo and Toshiba PCs.
The product made a notable achievement in an event in which it managed, after just one day of analysis, to identify the source of the DoS attack on the South Korean and American government networks in July, 2009.
BKAV entered the top ten anti-virus software products tested by the UK’s Virus Bulletin for the first time in late 2010.
Located in the UK, Virus Bulletin is a highly reputed anti-virus software evaluation firm in the world.
