The airline will use Boeing 777 aircraft and offer four flights per week on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
VNA plans to raise the number of UK flights to seven flights per week by 2015.
The launch of the direct air routes targets to meet rising travel demand between the two countries, promoting trade cooperation, investment and cultural exchange between Việt Nam and Europe in general and the UK in particular, said VNA Deputy General Director Trịnh Hồng Quang.
The new routes will also contribute to improving the VNA’s competitiveness and converting it into a major flag carrier in the region./.
