VNA flights to Europe back to normal

VGP – Vietnam Airlines (VNA) said all its operations came back to normal on Wednesday after it redeemed flights to totally 6,400 passengers stranded in the Nội Bài International Airport due to the ash cloud spewed from the volcano Eyjafjallajokull in Iceland.

The national flag carrier already resumed all flights to the Europe on April 21.

Other stranded passengers can contact with the carrier’s booking offices for free assistance of arranging, canceling or changing tickets.

VNA had to cancel 21 flights from the country to Russia, Germany, and France due to the incident for five days from April 16-20.

The trapped passengers included 1,200 from France, 621 Germans and 313 Russians. The rest are Vietnamese.

A VNA Boeing 777 also got stranded in the Europe due to the incident.
