VN wins seven medals at Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad 2018

VGP - Vietnamese students won one gold, four silver and two bronze medals in the Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad 2018, according to the Ministry of Education and Training on May 21.

The gold medal was carried off by Pham Duc Thang from the High School for Gifted Students under National University in Ha Noi.

Viet Nam ranks third out of 31 countries and territories, standing behind China and Russia. The Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad 2018 attracted the participation of 586 contestants from 31 countries and territories.

In the previous Olympiad, Viet Nam won five silver medals and one bronze medal, finishing seventh in the medal tally.
